Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce

The new Excelsior Springs Animal Shelter on Marietta Street is nearing completion. The epoxy surface to the floors and concrete lower walls has been applied and city crews are finishing the final details inside and awaiting arrival of the kennels to complete the exterior of the project.

• Feb. 3 - Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening at The Event Parlor, 405 S. Thompson Ave., 5-7 p.m.

• Feb. 3-5, 9-11 – "Murder Room", a comedy by Jack Sharkey will be performed at the Paradise Playhouse, 101 Spring St. Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances include the all-you-care-to-eat buffet prepared by the Golden Ox. Visit the website or call the box office 816-630-3333 to order tickets.

• Feb. 4 – Chocolate Tour, 1-5 p.m. Meander the shops in downtown Excelsior Springs and sample chocolate to your heart's content. This year's event includes judging and prizes.
