Upcoming Events

• June 17 – "God's Country" will perform live at Cedar's Coffeehouse, 311 S. Thompson Ave., 7-9 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

• June 18 – Waterfest EX Factor Open Audition, Broadway Bar & Grill, 259 E. Broadway, 7-10 p.m. A new event of Waterfest, a $2,000 prize will be awarded the winner of an amateur singing competition with Round One on June 28, Round Two on June 29, and Final Sing-off on June 30. Additionally, winner will receive 4 hours of professional recording session and opening act to a live band at Broadway Bar & Grill on August 16. • June 20-22 – "South Pacific" will be presented by the Excelsior Springs Community Theatre at Slightly Off Broadway Theatre, 114 N. Marietta, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays 2 p.m. Adapted from the Pulitizer Prize winning novel about World War II, the stirring music of Rodgers and Hammerstein tells the tale of two parellel love stories that are threatened by the dangers of war and prejudice. • June 21-22 – 7th Annual ES Wine Fest, Elms Hotel & Spa, 401 Regent, 5-10 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday. This annual event celebrates the best of art, food and Missouri wine. Tickets available online.

• June 29 – Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Chamber Christmas Committee, Ventana Gourmet Grill, 117 W. Broadway, 7 -10 a.m. Tickets only $5.

• July 13 – "My Life on a Bicycle" book signing with author Ed Chasteen, Willow Spring Mercantile, 249 E. Broadway, 2-4 p.m. All proceeds from book sales go directly to Ed's favorite causes: Heart of America MS Society,, HateBusters, Inc., and William Jewell College
